Annual Report: Stewardship

Stewardship activities for the UUC church year centered on three events, the Leadership Reception held in February, the Pledge Drive Kick-Off Cocktail Party held on March 1st and the Pledge Drive Campaign that is now in its final follow up stage.

 

Over 75 UUC members participated in the Stewardship process this year.  These included the Pledge Drive Team Leaders, Canvassers, and the hard working teams of people who organized and managed the two social events and provided our “Special Entertainment.” 

 

Stewardship activities were completed slightly over budget at approximately $2,700 compared to a budget of $2,500. 

 

This has been a difficult year for our congregation in terms of pledges.  Economic concerns, hardship, members who are moving away from our area and life changing events have impacted our results. 

 

Pledge results to date:

 

Committed Pledges:                        $269,230            Proposed Budget: $285,000            Shortfall: $15,770

 

Number of Pledges received:                       182 from 91% of our current membership

 

Pledges Increased over last year:            $15,600, an increase of 6% based on last year

 

Value of Pledges lost due to the reasons highlighted above:            $28,000

 

Our follow up phase of the Pledge Drive continues and we anticipate we will meet the Proposed Budget goal.
